The Exchange on Drug Demand Reduction Action (EDDRA) is a database of projects and programmes aimed at reducing the demand for drugs. The online database currently has over 500 entries from across the European Union and can be accessed through the EMCDDA website. Areas covered are: • prevention; • treatment; • harm reduction; • social reintegration; and • approaches specific to criminal justice settings. All entries are evaluated and searchable by a wide range of terms allowing professionals and policymakers across Europe to identify relevant and effective programmes for reducing drug demand. A list of current entries from the UK can be found here. Submitting an entry
The Focal Point actively seeks suitable entries for the EDDRA database from the UK. Criteria for inclusion in the database can be accessed here. The information required to complete a database entry is collected through a structured questionnaire, which can be downloaded here. If required, we will draft an entry using available published information for approval and revision as necessary. Once a final version has been agreed, we will create an entry on the EDDRA database using the completed questionnaire. New UK entries to the database are reported in the EDDRA newsletter, which is distributed to interested parties across the UK and Europe. If you wish to join the mailing list please contact us.
